This is a great opportunity to earn an income and complete a nationally reconsider qualification. Our recruitment apprentices will provide an efficient and effective recruitment service for our busy managers. You will liaise with our service users and learn how to efficiently carry out pre-employment checks for incoming staff. This will include gathering references, carrying out Disclosure and Barring checks and other relevant NHS employment clearances.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate at general interest in Human Resources and be keen to complete a Diploma in Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship.

You will need a keen eye for detail and the ability to handle data in a fast paced and accurate way. The successful candidate will have a proactive and flexible attitude and be motivated to work in a busy, collaborative team environment. You will be using word and basis excel so skills in this area are essential.

 

Apprentice Finance Clerk

This is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn and to start your Accountancy career with Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

You will be enrolled with a local education provider to study a nationally recognised accountancy qualification, and will be required to complete all aspects of the apprenticeship within the agreed duration of the program. This opportunity will provide you with valuable experience, Accountancy qualification and offer you a strong foundation for a fulfilling Accountancy career within the NHS, Britain’s biggest employer.

 The successful applicant will follow the Advanced Apprenticeship in Accounting for 19 months. The hours of work will be 37.5, Monday to Friday. You will provide day to day comprehensive, effective and efficient support to a wide range of activities across the Finance function.

Finance staff at all levels make sure that NHS money is properly controlled and wisely spent as the NHS has to be sure that its finances are well run.  Some of your key duties in this role will include supporting many of the key functions within the Finance department including:

  • Working to support a busy finance team
  • Working with figures and spread sheets
  • Preparation and manipulation of data including data entry
  • Answering telephone and email queries and redirecting as appropriate.
  •  

The Trust is looking for a confident and reliable individual with good communication and time management skills.  You should have a keen interest in finance and accounts, with great numeracy and IT skills.  It’s essential that you are able to work independently or as part of a team and that you are flexible enough to undertake a variety of tasks.

 

To apply for this post you must have 5 GCSEs including Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent). Predicted grades will be accepted if awaiting results. You should also be able to demonstrate any work experience in any area or involvement in extracurricular activities.

Interviews are scheduled to take place on 7th August 2018.
