Plumber / Fitter Apprentice


As part of our continuing commitment to develop we are investing in growing our estates team,

We have a exciting opportunity within our Trusts Estates Department for an Apprentice Plumber.

The Apprenticeship Scheme is run in conjunction with the JLT as local training provider to ensure that you are supported through a high quality-training programme.

You will be required to undertake the NVQ Level 2 & 3 in yor final year and will be required to attend accredited course within the health care structure.

Your work day could include servicing or repairing the following:

  • Planned maintenance works for repairing equipment that is broken or faulty.
  • You will learn how to use specialist plant, tools and equipment.
  • Heating and Ventilition HVAC
  • Decontamination Equipment Servicing and Repair
  • Steam Generation Servicing      
  • All aspects of plumbing, drainage.

You will be expected to study for qualifications such as NVQs. You may also be encouraged to become multi-skilled by training in, for example, admin, electrical installation, painting and decorating or tiling.

Covering all as aspects of health and safety and the heathcare guidances which is fundamental to our department

Candidates must have a genuine interest in engineering and possess GCSE’s or equivalent in: English A*-C, Mathematics grade A*-C.

This is an ideal opportunity to become an Apprentice and you will develop new skills and knowledge whilst working within an estates team gaining valuable work experience as well as a recognised apprenticeship qualification.
